Château Potensac

From the same stable as Léoville Las Cases, this property is run by Jean-Hubert Delon and is situated in the far north of the Médoc, close to Château Sociando Mallet, and it gets better every year.
Produced by the winemaking team from Château Léoville-Las-Cases, Potensac is a Château that always offers classical Bordeaux drinking and in 2023 will certainly offer excellent value. The bouquet is big in ripe cassis aromas with a touch of tobacco. The palate is succulent, medium bodied with black cherry, blackberry and chalky tannins, with a juicy freshness providing balance and definition. The finish is long with lingering fruit and a subtle spice flavours.
Ideal as an accompaniment to braised beef, a pot roast and grilled asparagus.
Harvest dates: 19th September – 11th October. Yields of 48hl/ha and aged in 20% new oak. Alc 13.5%
